Hello friends! My name is Jim McKenney, and I am a second-year music therapy student at Georgia College & State University. I am from Decatur, GA, and have over 15 years of music and performing experience. I play bass and guitar, and I write and sing my own music. When I am not practicing or studying, I am an avid reader and Dog- and Cat-Dad!

At GCSU, I am vice president of the student Music Therapy Society, and I work with the Life Enrichment Center to lead one of our Creative Expressions groups. I am interested in Community Music Therapy, as well as using music therapy to treat individuals with behavioral and emotional problems, addiction, and those in the prison/juvenile system. I cannot wait to get more hands-on experience throughout the rest of my program!
