Position: Board Certified Music Therapist
Description: The Board-Certified Music Therapist (LPMT, MT-BC) provides individual and small group services to children, teens and young adults with developmental disabilities, learning difficulties and other developmental differences. The ideal provider will design effective and engaging music therapy interventions to address the unique needs of each music therapy participant. The MT-BC will also deliver adaptive music lessons. The provider will work collaboratively with all stakeholders including parents, educators and other parties as needed. The therapist will design evidence-based intervention programs with data collection and progress reporting conducted regularly.
Pay: Commensurate with the field and background FT/PT contract work
Desired Qualifications: A desired qualification is Neurologic Music Therapy certification. Note that is not a requirement. New graduates are encouraged to apply as well. Therapy experience in school settings is also a plus.

Atlanta Public Schools
APS is looking for a music therapist to substitute for 2 MT’s while they are on maternity leave this fall (2026). They are both part-time, so our schedules together make one full-time schedule. One MT is going on maternity leave starting the end of July until the end of October and the second will be on maternity leave beginning in September until December.
