* Serve as liaison between the State of Georgia and Georgia Music Therapists
* Responsible for overseeing and leading initiatives and events that will promote
governmental public relations to advance music therapy
* Keep membership informed of legislative actions, AMTA, SER, and other disciplines’ actions and issues that affect music therapy in Georgia
Internship Scholarship: (Chairs not confirmed) Paula James, Shaun Pugh, Co-Chairs
* Responsible for MTAG scholarship to music therapy students within Georgia. Students must be interning or beginning internship within the award year.
* Design of application process, procedures, and content.
* Distribution of applications to universities
* Review of applications
* Granting award at the Annual Meeting.
Job Development: Amie McCaleb, Jennifer Groover, Co-Chairs
* Responsible for advocating for music therapy and music therapists in Georgia
* Design ,and supervision of, education, marketing and promotion efforts for potential employers and consumers in Georgia. Coordinate with Reimbursement Committee for reimbursement issues.
Coordination with Communications Committee for updated job information in the state.
Reimbursement: (Not confirmed) Beth Hampshire, Chair
* Responsible for reimbursement issues that impact the state
* Tracking of reimbursement records for music therapy in Georgia
Update membership concerning AMTA and SER reimbursement status and changes
* Responsible for educating members about reimbursement policies and procedures
* Coordination of educating potential consumers and 3rd party pay agencies about music therapy reimbursement.
Communications: (Not confirmed) Emily Baker, chair
1. Membership: Missy Worden
* Responsible for promoting MTAG among Georgia Music Therapists and students through telephoning, email, direct mailings, face-to-face, and other venues.
* Maintain current membership address information. Distribute to Communication Committee, Executive Board.
* Design and maintain a hard copy MTAG Sourcebook for membership.
* Design of marketing materials in conjunction with Newsletter Committee, Job Development Committee, and Executive Board.
2. Newsletter: Erin Jones
* Responsible for design and implementation of the MTAG newsletter
* Responsible for gathering input from all committees and Executive Board for 3 (?) newsletters per year. Summer (July), Winter (December?), Spring (March?)
* Coordination with Membership Committee, Communications Committee, and Treasurer for mailings and distribution on the website.
3. Electronic Communications: Pat Coates
* Responsible for the MTAG website
* Facilitates electronic communication
* Works with all committees and Executive Board for timely flow of information to MTAG members
