SB 414, Georgia’s music therapy licensure law was signed into law by Governor Deal in May 2012. You can access a copy of the music therapy licensure law through this link to the Georgia General Assembly website. Music therapists started applying for their licenses in Fall of 2013, and beginning January 1, 2014 all music therapists must have obtained their license in order to practice in the state of Georgia.
